The Mountain Between Us

It is that time of the year when we make our resolutions only to break them just a few days into the year. A time of new beginnings and I am not different .So I am here again with my blog.

I do wonder at times at my constant on and off position despite the fact that movies are my passion and I could only point at one fact. I can’t seem to make up my mind about the theme of my blog.

Do I make it a proper review with spoiler alerts, or just a tip of the ice berg to make you want to watch the movie?  Alas, I still have not been able to decide.

With that unanswered question hanging in the air, I am today talking about "The Mountain Between Us", starring Idris Elba and Kate Winslet in romantic roles.

Idris and Kate got to the airport to find out that the flights have been cancelled due to the weather. They chartered an aircraft together although meeting for the first time but brought together by their mutual need, and the plane crashed with the pilot dying but they survived with an adorable dog in the snowy caps of desolate mountains. From there onward, it was a race of survival to get back to civilization. This also provided the background for a romantic involvement for our sterling lead characters and I must say the racist in me was happy that it was a black man with a white woman and not the other way around. 

The movie in summary was a survival tale with a romantic background.
