Deadpool
Deadpool
Regular readers will remember that this is a movie that I
stated that you should watch out for in the year 2016.
I love that first line, makes me sound like a real
professional movie critic. Lol .
Boy, was I right? Deadpool has been a huge box office hit.
Even here in Nigeria, the movie halls screening the movie are always jam
packed.
For Marvel fans, you already know who Dead pool is while for
Regular readers you already have a hint from my earlier blog.
There, I said it again, my regular readers. Lol.
I guess one of the reasons Deadpool is a huge success is, unlike
the regular comic heroes Deadpool does not have any scruples about actually
killing his enemies. I mean is it not just annoying when Spider man or Superman
refuses to kill his nemesis and the guy keeps coming back to give him *issues*.
I had wondered earlier in the said blog if Ryan Reynolds
still had it in him, well, Deadpool
answered that. Reynolds had a blast
playing Wade Wilson, the Special Forces operative turned mercenary turned
cancer patient turned medical experiment turned Deadpool, a scar-faced mutant
with a penchant for superhero drag and a mouth on him.
The humor and Self-deprecation
in the movie was effortlessly portrayed by Reynolds looking straight at the
camera and making remarks like the studio was too broke to afford more than two
heroes from the X-Men franchise in the movie. The best pick for me was at the
end. Usually, marvel movies after the credits will show a sneak peek from an
upcoming marvel movie. After the rolling
of the credits at the end of Deadpool, Reynolds appears and asks the audience
if they are waiting for a sneak peek and then tells us point blank that it was
not going to happen. Lol .
Deadpool first appeared in Wolverine, X-Men origins(2009),which also featured Gambit( Another yet to be released X men mutant movie. 2016, Deadpool the movie is out and the wait was worth it.
Brilliant..could not get enough of the wit,dry humor and sarcasm Reynolds displayed in the movie..the part about going commando had me rotfl...😁😁😁😁
