The Eve

I did not know quite know what to make of the movie in the opening scenes. This was more so when the main characters started to sing. Was this a musical? And if it was, what type? Indian movie like or Disney themed?

Turned out to be neither. The singing was a nice touch but was just that. The movie was the regular romantically themed movie that most nollywood movies tend to be of late.

The plotline was about Funsho who was having his bachelors eve and getting married the very next day but met a another lady and started having doubts about the whole wedding. I will not divulge more so as not to create any spolier alerts.

There was an attempt to create some comedy with scenes involving John Okafor(Mr Ibu) which did not come off. It was almost like the film producers were expecting the audience to laugh just by looking at Mr Ibu. Even the scene involving him and Ronke Oshodi appeared forced.

The comedy angle was the only flaw for me.The acting and the location shots were spot on; The casting was marvelously done as each actor was suitable for their roles .The storyline was also perfect even though it was a familiar one.

I would recommend it to a friend but to my friends that are into such movies.
