Masterminds
This is a comedy with a touch of authenticity. This was
aided in no small measure by the fact that it was based on a true story. The
Loomis Faro heist: The greatest second heist in the history of America.
The
main character in the story, David Ghaant - played to perfection by Zach
Gaffianski - accent and all was so stupid it was adorable.
And of course the script writer would have been generous
with the plot lines. It was done to such perfection, the viewer would choose to
ignore them and enjoy the story. It is the equivalent of your friend telling
you a hot story with embellishments but you choose to ignore them so as not to
spoil the fun.
The supporting cast in Rachael Wiig, Owen Wilson, Jason
Sudakis, etc surrounded the movie with outstanding role playing: Rachael- the
woman who manipulated Zach but eventually regretted it, Owen –the “mastermind”,
who was pulling all the strings in the background and Jason, the perfect
assassin needed to tie up the whole plotline.
It was hilarious, detailed and definitely a must watch.
