Captain America;Civil War
Whoop! Whoop! Whoop!
Civil war was the bomb and more! I have to admit after the
initial scene, things got a bit slow and I had started to wonder if this was
another flop in the making but was I wrong!
Once the action kick-started, it was adrenaline all the way.
Civil war is another avenger movie in my opinion as the
only heroes missing were the Hulk and Thor, and this was more than made up for
by the assemble cast; Ant man, War machine, Black panther, Falcon, Vision,
Scarlet Witch, Black Widow, Spider man -and yes, Spidey stole the show.
It was like Marvel World was telling DC World (Batman vs
Superman: Dawn of Justice) –“Una never start
“.
And it was not just a plot to show all these heroes together
but a plausible one, Our heroes disagreeing on an agenda and each forced to
choose sides and eventually battle each other. Black Widow and Hawk eye on
opposite sides and fighting each other, can you imagine that? Although, Scarlet
Witch had to intervene and shouted at Hawk eye, “What? You were pulling your
punches?”
Another plus for Civil War was our heroes showing that they
had more tricks up their sleeves. What with Falcon revealing his miniature
falcon and with Ant-Man finally turning to Giant man. I think that’s what led to Tony Stark in the
heat of battle asking his team if anyone had any other special traits or tricks
that could be useful right now.
There was the nice intro at the beginning of the movie; I
think I mentioned it earlier. Captain America, Falcon and Black Widow all live in
Lagos, Nigeria. Yes ooo, our own Lagos complete with the" Danfo" buses and light
blue and black trouser wearing policemen. Imagine if they shot that scene live
on location. You will be walking down a Lagos street and you will just run into
Chris Evans. I can imagine the ladies already salivating at that concept.
Civil war is a ten over ten.
On a side note, Nigeria seems to be mentioned/or shown more in
Hollywood movies these days, apart from Civil War, there was the scene in Wolverine:X-Men
Origins and many more.
NB. @kemi, there is a scene made just for you, Captain
America holding down a Helicopter with his bare hands . Biceps bulging and
stuff, the only downside was he had his shirt on. lol.
I loved it. They say Winter Soldier was the best written. Perhaps. For me, this tops everything the Marvel Cinematic Universe has put out.
ReplyDeleteYes Boss..everyone in the theatre went craaay during that scene..I did salivate small sha😍😍😍😍
